Sometimes you need more information to solve problems,
answer buyer and/or internal questions. We conduct analytics as needed
including sales, forecasting, in stock, promotional sell thru and additional
data to solve specific problems. All of this can be down to store level
whenever necessary (see blog post link).
For example, one of our suppliers had several mods change, and we had a Walmart buyer ask us what impact the change had specifically related to the stores with and without the adjustment. We were asked to compare the stores with the change to the stores without the change using a six-week period and comparing that period to the previous six weeks and last year on a per store basis. There are complicated steps that RetailLink reports that are given to you by Walmart make impossible to figure out without complex analysis.
