OTIF (On Time In Full)
- Prepaid supplier-they are responsible for getting it to Walmart
- Supplier has a 3 day window…2 days before and days 1 day early, or on time…cannot be late
- If over $1000/mo gets fined fine 3% of cost of item.
- We send you a bucket report: we ordered x, did we get it? did we get it on time? and who is responsible (supplier or Walmart)?
- Can filter and sort by item or distribution center (DC)
- Give them active worksheet that they can use to do research on—teach how to do research
- Every order is bucketed…everything adds up to 100, six buckets your responsibility and six Walmart’s responsibility
- Retail link just gives you detailed information but you have to have the calculations/summaries in order to understand it. We do the calculations for you and send you an excel worksheet for you to research with.
- You can easily get to the different detail levels.
SQEP (Supply Quality Excellence Program)—All supply chain problems you can cause them that are not OTIF
Document to tell them that they were getting product
- If you ship them over ships
- Wrong label
- Wrong packaging
- Cancel po
- Item not on po
- Wrong barcode
- Hazmat wrong label for hazard
- Wrong pallet
- Wrong load
- Lots of money….can be up to thousands weekly!
- We provide month and weekly reporting
- Detail by Walmart but we summarize so you can see what is actually happening
For both OTIF and SQEP….main thing that Walmart doesn’t give you is the trend of the fines over time.
OTIF and SQEP are measuring and managing the interaction between the supplier’s supply chain and Walmart’s supply chain so that the handoff of the items is timely and accurately. Attempt of Walmart to recoup the cost of inefficiencies caused by inaccuracies in the life of a PO. They want everything to be perfect.
